Outstanding Performance by LFC Members in Recent Tournaments!

I am thrilled to share some exciting news about the remarkable achievements of our fellow members in recent fencing tournaments.

On January 13th, our talented epeeists made a striking impression at the NKFA Bloody Winter Wonderland Tournament. In a display of skill and determination, Gordon Sayler emerged victorious with a gold medal in the Unrated Tournament, closely followed by Ross McNary who secured the silver medal among 9 competitors. Gordon earned his E24 rating!

The success continued in the DIV II (C and Under) category, where Josh Turner clinched gold and earned his D24 rating! Shawn McNary and Gordon Sayler showed solid performances, placing 12th and 13th respectively out of 19 competitors. The Mixed Open Event saw Dwain Kent brilliantly capture the bronze medal, and Josh Turner once again demonstrating his prowess by taking 16th place out of 20 fencers.

The following week, on January 21st, our saber team made their mark at the Indianapolis Fencing Center. Out of a formidable group of 34 fencers, our members showcased their skills and determination. Eli Johnson finished an impressive 10th, followed by John Boylan in 13th, Tom Monarch in 15th, Dawn Wilson in 16th, and Pam Johnson in 32nd place.

A heartfelt congratulations to all our competitors for their outstanding performances and for representing the Louisville Fencing Center with such distinction. Your hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship are truly inspiring.
